The Beginning

Where to begin after two years of pure hard work? I can't describe how good it feels to have finally realised a dream that has been inspired by my beloved pets - scaled, furred, feathered and with-shell!

Without sounding like a crazy cat lady, what I love most about my pets is that I know, no matter what, they will always love me unconditionally. And the feeling is mutual. Over the years I have come to appreciate just how much my pets have truly given me. I believe above all, that they have each played a large part in shaping the person I have become - teaching me lessons of love, understanding, nurture, compassion and responsibility. I actually feel sorry for those people who have lived their entire lives without ever having a pet, because they have absolutely no idea what they've missed.

I have dedicated PetShopGirls to all my pets - past, present and future - because without them my life would not be the same. In creating an online pet gift boutique I wanted to give others the opportunity to give something back to their eternally loyal friend - who will always love them, without question, judgement or ulterior motive.

... and let's face it - your precious pets deserve something better than the average pet store bargin-bin number.
